Favicon or short for Favorites Icon is a feature that makes it possible to place a special logo beside a web page. Every web owners would very much like to display their own icon on the browser address bar so as to create a much more personal feel for the viewer. Thankfully, developers have created a program that easily creates icons and marquees for your web pages using the new “FavIcon from Pics”. You can simply select a picture or logo and click generate icon, there you have it. It is the first online tool that simplifies the creation of favicons using a just a regular image. Without the hassle of manual editing. There are some minor differences in the way browsers display favicons though. Firefox browsers display the favicon on the address bar and browser tabs. Internet Explorer browsers display the favicon on the Favorites menu and on the address bar. And most of the supported browsers will start displaying the favicon on the browser address bar, the very first time you visit a web page that has a favicon (specified using the favicon HTML tag).
