web.resource.org will be constructing a home for information that will be beneficial to the Web community. The site will include topics like specifications, schemas and namespaces. Their objective is for the links to pages on the said server not to be broken and data to remain intact. When surfing the web, breaking links are quite annoying. The web then becomes ineffective to its purpose making it socially rude. With the up-and-coming Semantic Web, the necessity for pages that will not disappear arises. Giving them the idea to create a Web mainly focused to maintain resources for a long period of time.
