GLSEN - Teaching Respect for All
GLSEN or the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network was founded in Boston in 1990. Its founder and Executive Director is Kevin Jennings. The school was founded with a vision that each and every member of a school community will be valued and respected irregardless of his sexual orientation or gender. So that every student will feel safe and accepted. The members of GLSEN believe that all students should be given the chance to have an education or be in a school where there is no harassment or discrimination whatsoever regarding their genders or that of their family, love ones and even their friends.
