Website visitors today no longer just read and leave – interaction is now a part of these websites. In fact, there are websites today with features that interact with other websites. Also, some of them will allow the public to edit the pages – these sites are known as wikis. It was these changes and developments that are becoming more commonplace on the Web that prompted Tim O’ Reilly to come up with the term Web 2.0.
So, finally it can be said that Web 2.0’s broad definition pertains to the changes that have now become common features in most of the websites of the World Wide Web.
